I really enjoyed your post. 

I think companies need to remember that consumers don&#039;t stop spending money during a recession - they just start spending smarter. 

This should fuel innovation - especially in terms of customer service and product quality (aka value). Internally it may also fuel efficiency and organizational redesign to stay ahead of the competition. 

For any of these things to take place human capital and advantageous work processes are required, thus cutting them out may not be the best idea.</description>
