A very insightful piece for any business or individual that has chosen to emerge themselves in social media. The recommendations in this piece can be transfered to any social media strategy be it for blogs, Twitter, Facebook, etc. When blogging on behalf of a company, risks need to be assessed and mitigation strategies need to be in place before hand.
I think its time many companies begin not only developing strategy documents and contacts which clearly outline specific privacy and behavioral guidelines for all employees involved in their social media campaign.

Great post!
I'm currently taking a class at the University of Nevada on personal branding and one recurring issue is whether students can/should include their workplace in their blog. While the opportunities and risks are evident, this post goes a long way to creating a symbiotic relationship between the emerging blogging channel and the corporate environment. Great advice!
